If  I was standing on a bridge looking down at the moving water below me with my hands tied behind my back, my wrists tied with a cord and a rope closely encircled around my neck a lot would be going through my mind. The first thing that would come to my mind is that I'm going to die. I would try to prevent myself from thinking that at that moment. I wouldn't panic at all because panicking wouldn't do no go at all. I would try to save myself.

Unlike Thoreau, I don't plan to just live a simple life. As of right now my life is already complicated and stressful but I manage. I have big goals set for myself and I plan to succeed in them. My goals are to graduate high school, go to college to become a paralegal, and have a successful job as a paralegal. As of right now I'm managing to keep my grades up in high school and also plan for after graduation. I plan to be very successful and own a big fancy house and two fancy cars.

What are some modern conveniences we take for granted in our life? Do we really need these items? Explain

Some of the modern conveniences today would be suggested as our cell phones, television, electricity, water, and etc. The main modern conveniences that I would take for granted would be my cell phone, that is something I can't live without. Most would rather choose water, electricity, and etc. I would have to say we really do need these modern conveniences because without them things wouldn't go accordingly. Such as, people wouldn't give or receive important calls, without water people wouldn't be able to take a bath, cook, basically survive, and without electricity people wouldn't be able to see. In conclusion, these things we take for granted is very important and we do need them to survive.

In what ways do people today still struggle with tensions between individuality and conformity?

What is individuality? What is conformity? Well individuality basically means being individual, better yet alone and conformity basically is going alone with a group. Today, people may struggle with tensions between the both of these. This might happen, at school, at home, playing a sport, and etc. At school and home and while playing a sport, many might want to hang by them selfs, on the other hand many might just wanna go alone with a crowd.

How do individuals make a difference in our society? Well I honestly think they do this by doing things there way like not following the rules and etc. As you can see today, our society is not that great. Why is that? It's because of the differences individuals make. Some are bad and some are good.

I would think they have less power than what you would think they'll have in our society. Why do I say that? We'll I say it because if you look at our society today and see who's following rules or either doing things for the church, you wouldn't see many. Why do I say this also? If you look around our community/society all you would manly see is people breaking the rules, people showing violence, and etc.

What do you think is the most important quality of gothic stories? Is it the ability to shock and frighten or the ability to create suspense and mystery.. Explain

What are gothic stories? Well gothic stories are stories basically like the poem "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. In the poem it had some supernatural stuff in it and that's basically one quality of something being considered a gothic story. It is the ability to create suspense and mystery because when something unreal happens the author of the story makes the reader feel as if something creepy is going to happen, so the reader kind of gets excited about wanting to know but the author makes the reader lead to suspense.

Do you agree that there is darkness within all of us? Explain

When I hear the word darkness, my mind quickly thinks that that means something evil is taken place. To answer the question, I do think that there is darkness within all of us. Why? We'll simply because there's a side of every one that has to be evil or mean. To be honest, I have a mean side and some of the kids I see today at school also has a darkness within them.

What are dreamlike settings? We'll, I think it's when you add something to a story or etc to make it actually sounds good. Have you ever observed greedy behavior in others?

I have observed this type of situation before and not just dealing with food. I've seen people also be greedy with money. The most recent situation I've seen where people be greedy with food was at lunch. There's a little place in the cafeteria where students can buy all kinds of food and drinks and sometimes that line be so long some students decide to skip other. I find that a good example of being greedy. I mean they could just wait their turn just like the others but they decide not to because they're starving or haven't ate in a while at least that's what they make it seem like.

Why do people hear voices in the woods?

There's this thing called fear. It's when you can imagine something dangerous happening to you. I must admit I'm not a person who usually goes into the woods because when I do go into them, I start imagining things, on the other hand start hearing voices. When you imagine things that you fear you may feel like you're hearing things.

What is fear?  Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. So, why do we fear what we do not know? I think we do that because in our mind it's set that whatever's gonna happen is either gonna be bad or dangerous.

First off, what is a speech? A speech is something where someone expresses their thoughts and feelings. How can you determine it? We'll if I was to determine it, I would determine it by seeing if it has a effect of law, rule, or etc. That's basically what effective means.

What are values?  Values means something or someone that is important and worth something to you. Do I have values? We'll of course, I have plenty of them but only three main ones that I'll defend most fiercely. My first main value would be my son, I will defend him any day, place, and time. My second main value is my boyfriend of three, soon to be four years. I would defend him the same as I do my son. Last but not least, my family is also one of my main values that I'll defend.

We'll to start off do you know what a speech is? A speech is something where you express your thoughts and feelings basically. I would say that this movie would be placed under pathos/emotions. The reason It would be placed under it cause it deals with a lot of emotions throughout the movie, from the time the little girls gets token till the end.

Best speech

I would have to say that the best speech I've ever got was the one I got today during advisory. I must say that it is the best speech I've ever heard because what the woman was saying was very true. The speech was about being a baby mother or baby mama. The woman explained to me that being a baby mama can mean that the mother of the child doesn't really pay attention to her child but is the main problem or the main one that starts drama. Being a baby mother is the opposite of that, the mother of the child takes care of the child and give her child all the attention he/she needs.

The most important facts that I have learned about this topic is that the Plymouth were godly people and they really believed in their god. When the puritans thought that bishops and priests had too much power over church members they wanted to get away. They also wanted to escape persecution and that's when they went to America. They also held many views to their religion like unconditional election, religious holidays, thanksgiving, and etc.
